What is there to do in Ax-les-Thermes when it rains?
The town offers hot water-play baths, a cinema, restaurants and a casino. If you go as far as Andorra (about 1 h 15 by road), Caldea is a large spa and leisure centre, and the Niaux cave can be visited under cover.
Are there activities all year round?
Yes, Ax-les-Thermes offers activities all year round, in addition to spa treatments. Ask the tourist office for the programme for your dates.
Can you do everything without a car?
The centre of Ax-les-Thermes can be covered on foot. To reach the ski resorts, the Orlu valley or Andorra, the car remains the most practical from Ignaux, 5 km from the town.
What is the best season to come?
Each season has its assets: skiing and snowshoeing in winter, the residence pool, hiking and cycling in summer, hot baths all year round. The apartment can be rented all year, for a minimum of 2 nights.
