From Toulouse
Ax-les-Thermes is about a hundred kilometres away, through the Ariège valley. Allow about two hours.
From Foix or Tarascon-sur-Ariège
You go up the valley to Ax-les-Thermes, then climb towards Ignaux.
From Andorra
You come down through Pas de la Casa, about 45 minutes from the residence depending on the weather.

Ax-les-Thermes station is on this line, served by TER Occitanie trains.
Night train from Paris
A night train also links Paris-Austerlitz to Latour-de-Carol, stopping in the valley: check the running days and timetables.
From the station, you then need to reach Ignaux, 5 km higher up, by car or taxi.
Compulsory equipment
From 1 November to 31 March
Winter equipment (winter tyres or chains) may be compulsory on mountain roads. Check the signs and the regulations in force before setting off, and keep what you need to equip your car in the boot.
For Andorra
The Port d’Envalira is kept open for most of the year: check the weather on the pass on the day.

Access is by a key lockbox with a code: nobody needs to wait for you.

Parking on site is free, right in front of the chalets, with a view of the peaks of the valley.

Access questions
Can I come without a car?
You can arrive by train as far as Ax-les-Thermes station, but the apartment is 5 km higher up, in Ignaux: the car remains the most practical on site, especially to reach the ski resorts.

How do I collect the keys?
Arrival is self check-in: a key lockbox with a code, which is sent by message 12 hours before arrival. Check-in is possible from 3 pm.
